Cardan Shaft Applications

A shaft is a metallic, rotating and oscillating rod that rotates continually to transfer movements or torque in the machine. Cardan Shaft parts are usually used to connect other components of machine that cannot be connected due to distance between them and to allow relative motion between them.

Cardan Shaft parts are used to transmit torque between two mechanical components and there are several cardan shaft supplier and Cardan shaft manufacturers in India. Dullabh commercials is among the leading cardan shaft manufacturers and universal joint shaft manufacturers supplying universal joint shaft, universal joint cross and other Cardan Shaft parts.

Functions Of The Cardan Shaft

It acts as an intermediate between the driving and the driven shaft that are not aligned on the same axis transferring the running torque smoothly. Two universal joints are used to enable a flexible connection between the driving and the driven shaft. Universal joint shaft or cross bearing used in it has four rolling bearings realizing the low friction and minimizing torque losses.
A universal joint is used to establish a mechanical connection between intersecting rotating shafts, which are usually not parallel. They are used to transmit motion, power, or both.

Applications

Cardan shaft parts are widely used in industries ranging from food production to steel and paper mills, in delivering power from stationary engines, electric motors and turbines as well as in the rail industry.
